Abstract

A Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) is a collection of autonomous self organizing mobile devices that communicate with each other by creating a network in a given area. The moving behavior of each mobile device is the MANET is determined by the mobility model which is a crucial component in its performance evaluation. Here is the present work; we have investigated the influences of various random mobility models on the performance of Adhoc on-demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) Routing Protocol and Dynamic MANET On-demand (DYMO) Protocol. In order to validate our work, three different mobility scenarios are considered: Random waypoint (RWP), Random Walk with Wrapping (RWP-WRP) and Random Walk with reflections (RWP-REF). Experimental results establish the fact that the performance of the routing protocols is significantly influenced by the different parameters like number of nodes, and to end delay and packet delivering ratio.
