Abstract

Programming courses are becoming increasingly popular with students from all kinds of majors; however, often students studying humanities are more pessimistic in their ability to master even basic programming skills. This poster will highlight some of the experiences of a group of social sciences students with an introductory programming course. The face-to-face format and the online format will both be analyzed and the instructor’s empirical observations, along with data gathered from questionnaires administered to students will be presented.
