Nepal Tool Drive at Burning Man 2015
At this year’s Burning Man event, Burners Without Borders is sponsoring a tool drive in partnership with long time disaster relief partner, Communitere. They are currently building a Makerspace and Tool Lending Library in Kathmandu to help rebuild after the recent devastating earthquakes … and they need our help!
BWB invites you to donate your generators, power tools, hand tools, extension cords, projectors-the things you use to build your awesome camp- at the BWB camp at Esplanade and 2:45 before you leave this year’s event. From solar panels to dust masks, each donation makes a huge difference.
Your donations will be sent to Nepal Communitere’s Makerspace and Tool Lending Library in Kathamandu and will be used to support the local community in their rebuilding efforts and for ongoing training and community renewal programs in Nepal. Check here to see a list of the most needed items.
If you can’t donate at Burning Man, you can also support Communitere’s efforts in Nepal by donating your new and used tools at any TechShop location through September 14th or make a monetary donation through Communitere’s Indiegogo campaign.
