João L. Sobrinho is a Professor of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Lisbon. His research on Internet routing has received international recognition including an IEEE Communications Society ‘William R. Bennett Prize in the Field of Communications Networking’ (2006); an Internet Research Task Force ‘Applied Networking Research Prize’ (2015); and a Best Paper Award at the Conference of the ACM SIGCOMM (2020).
