P6 550 8204E8A 客户配置:是4C/2个CPU板,第一个内存板上4条1G(2,4-7,9上插着),第二个内存板上8条1G插满了,客户想再升级4G内存。
---销售订了两条4G的内存,因为手册上说不同容量的内存不能混插,把第一个内存板上原来的4条1G内存去掉,换上新的2条4G加上后,新加的内存在ASMI里面显示Deconfig,试着直接把Deconfig改成config,提示不能生效。手册上说2个内存板时内存需要4条添加。
--销售又订了4条2G的,和4条1G的内存,再去客户处安装,把第一个内存板上原来的4条1G内存去掉,换上新的4条2G加上后,新加的内存在ASMI里面显示Deconfig,现在怀疑是新加的内存微码和机器不匹配?
--只不执行第二种方案了,把第一个内存板上原来的4条1G内存再插上,把4条1G的也加上后,新加的内存在ASMI里面显示config,说明认到了,在内存选项里显示已配置16G,configed 也是16G.
此环境是P550联接了HMC,需要在HMC里把动态内存分配给相应的profile,需要进入系统后不会立刻认到,需要重启操作系统才会认到刚才动态添加的内存。

- When two processors are installed, alternate installing memory modules between the first processor and the second processor.
- Memory features 4520, 4521, and 4522 are not available with processor feature 4967.

Memory should be balanced on each processor card, unless you have an odd number of memory modules.
