Yes, you can.
1. You need to configure Physical switch to accept team (basically to accept same MAC from 2 ports).
2. Make sure 2 nic are in the same subnet.
3. install esx
4. Create a new vswitch
5.Add 2 nics
6.configure the vswitch->port group->Nic Teaming
Make sure 2 nics are in active adapter
tick Load Balancing and pick one policy
Done.
