The introduction of the ELGA (Elektronische Gesundheitsakte, EHR) during the next few years is reason enough to propose possibilities to directly involve the patient into the data acquisition process in form of generating personal health data (e.g. vital signs, etc.) at home. In particular patients with chronic diseases will benefit from this integrated architecture. Furthermore, patients could archive all documents for their own use and responsibility. This article reviews literature about integration possibilities for personal and electronic health records and proposes an architecture which integrates data from patient-side into an affinity domains' XDS document repository.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/978-1-61499-397-1-196","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,21]],"date-time":"2025-02-21T14:45:03Z","timestamp":1740149103000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Connecting Cloud-Based Personal Health Records with an XDS Affinity Domain to Provide Additional Information at the Point-of-Care"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"family":"Huber Patrick","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Mitsch Christoph","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Sabutsch Stefan","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Schmidt-Erfurth Ursula","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Studies in Health Technology and Informatics","eHealth2014 – Health Informatics Meets eHealth"],"original-title":[],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,21]],"date-time":"2025-02-21T14:47:04Z","timestamp":1740149224000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.medra.org\/servlet\/aliasResolver?alias=iospressISSNISBN&issn=0926-9630&volume=198&spage=196"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2014]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/978-1-61499-397-1-196","relation":{},"ISSN":["0926-9630"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0926-9630","type":"print"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2014]]}}}
