The expectations of agents take shape based on certain protocols about the world around and they remove those possible scenarios where their exceptions and observations do not match. This in turn influences the epistemic reasoning of these agents. In this work, we study the computational complexity of the satisfaction problems of various fragments of POL. In the process, we also highlight the inevitable link that these fragments have with the well-studied Public announcement logic.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.24963\/kr.2023\/14","type":"proceedings-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2023,7,31]],"date-time":"2023-07-31T18:27:47Z","timestamp":1690828067000},"page":"136-145","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["On Simple Expectations and Observations of Intelligent Agents: A Complexity Study"],"prefix":"10.24963","author":[{"given":"Sourav","family":"Chakraborty","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata"}]},{"given":"Avijeet","family":"Ghosh","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata"}]},{"given":"Sujata","family":"Ghosh","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Indian Statistical Institute, Chennai"}]},{"given":"Fran\u00e7ois","family":"Schwarzentruber","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Univ Rennes, IRISA, France"}]}],"member":"10584","event":{"number":"20","sponsor":["Artificial Intelligence Journal","Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning Inc.","Academic College of Tel-Aviv","European Association for Artificial Intelligence","National Science Foundation"],"acronym":"KR-2023","name":"20th International Conference on Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning {KR-2023}","start":{"date-parts":[[2023,9,2]]},"theme":"Artificial Intelligence","location":"Rhodes, Greece","end":{"date-parts":[[2023,9,8]]}},"container-title":["Proceedings of the Twentieth International Conference on Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning"],"original-title":[],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2023,7,31]],"date-time":"2023-07-31T18:28:03Z","timestamp":1690828083000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/proceedings.kr.org\/2023\/14"}},"subtitle":[],"proceedings-subject":"Artificial Intelligence Research Articles","short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2023,9]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.24963\/kr.2023\/14","relation":{},"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2023,9]]}}}
