Titan A.E. (Featuring Alan Tupper)
Holy pandemic, Batman! A new episode! In our final episode of the series, Dee, Carrie and Havana take a trip down memory lane with a review of the 2000 animated sci-fi film, 'Titan A.E.'. Join us as we discuss the film's impact on the animated sci fi genre and its relevance in the pre-9/11 media landscape. We're also excited to have our first guest since the beginning of the pandemic, Alan Tupper, to share his thoughts on the film as we dig into the film's production. Did you know that pre-production development alone cost $30 million?! Wowza. Tune in to the discussion on the animation, voice acting, and the overall story, as we bid farewell to The Bluth Society series.

Anastasia
At last, Carrie, Dee, and Havana watch and review Anastasia! Listen to the hosts rave about the music, character writing, Romanov history, and the writing of this classic.

The Pebble and the Penguin
Learn about framing and shot language this week as Dee, Carrie, and Havana talk about how incorrect cinematography and character design undermines Pebble and this Penguin. Carrie rants about damsels in distress in film and Dee analyzes the operatic angle of this movie. Also, Hubie is a dick.

A Troll in Central Park
Making $71,368 in the box office, Troll in Central Park is Bluth’s lowest grossing film to date. This week, Carrie, Dee, and Havana reluctantly watch this train wreck and bounce ideas on how they would re-write the movie. Troll is a testament to what happens when your creative ego gets too big.

Thumbelina
Is Prince Cornelious the G.O.A.T? Carrie, Havana, and Dee discuss. The ladies get technical today as we talk about storytelling mechanisms and debate whether or not the character arcs and story structure work well in this film and become Cornelious stans along the way.

Rock-a-Doodle
#ImNotAFurryBut … Goldie. Dee gets real hype this week with the 1991 film “Rock-a-Doodle,” much to Carrie’s raised eyebrow. Havana tries to convince the others that she isn’t a furry despite talking a lot about anthropomorphized animal “hotties" and Dee talks about the history of black American music and Elvis.

All Dogs Go to Heaven
Jamel Jones joins the crew on this episode to discuss the 1989 classic, “All Dogs Go to Heaven.” Prepare for lots of laughs as the four discover how much better this movie is as adults. Pulling from her New Orleans roots, Dee also shares some really interesting cultural tidbits about King Gator.

The Land Before Time
Wow, our first guest! The ladies invite Havana’s significant other, Sheefeni Hauwanga, to this podcast to chat about the original 1988 “Land Before Time.” Is Sarah the triceratops still a bitch? Even in 2019, the answer is yes. This week, the crew is shocked to learn that the “circle of life” pre-dates The Lion King …
BTW I mentioned the paleontologist on Joe Rogan Podcast that obliterated a dino-denier's arguments-- check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knWCsonQVG4

An American Tail
Carrie, Dee, and Havana go deep in this episode with the 1986 classic "An American Tail!" Havana shares anecdotes from her family's experiences as immigrants and the three discuss culture and capitalism as we follow Fievel's journey to the States.

The Secret of NIMH
Dee Seabrook, Carrie Tupper, and Havana Nguyen kick off the podcast series with The Secret of NIMH! Carrie (writer of The Mary Sue's "Women in Animation" and contributing writer of "Hollywood Heroines") flexes her animation history knowledge. Learn about Don Bluth, the Disney animator renegade who broke away from the House of Mouse to start his own studio and produce a movie about ... a mouse.
