Description
The financial services sector is rapidly changing with the advancement of contemporary technologies and the traditional financial institutions are redrawing their boundaries to keep pace with the digital economy. Conventional services offered by the incumbents are now disaggregated by a growing number of Fintech players, leading to the construction of new business models and partnerships. And yet, there remains a lack of research on how banks are developing their capabilities in the face of digital disruption and the outcomes they generate in the process. Toward bridging this gap, our research draws on the global survey and interviews conducted by a multinational law firm in unpacking the capability development process in banks. In doing so, our findings offer insights into the dynamic capability development in banks in the face of the digital disruption that is transforming the financial landscape globally.
