Primarily, FMT was established in May 2006 as the main base for group company FMA. It is responsible for sales and after-sales support of FUJI’s SMT-related equipment in the Southeast Asian region. Recently, a new showroom was added on the land adjacent to the FMT office. The company held a completion ceremony on July 3rd, ahead of the formal opening in August.

State of the Art Automation with NXTR at Core

In the newly established showroom, visitors can observe a demonstration of a state-of-the-art production floor automation system using the latest NXTR* model. Also, it demonstrates equipment that automates the board assembly process for hand-inserted parts. Primarily, demand for this equipment is growing in the Asian region amid labor shortages and rising labor costs.

During the open house held on the same day as the completion ceremony, FUJI’s latest model, NXTR, was introduced to customers in the Asian region. In addition, it introduced the FUJI Smart Factory (FSF) to more than 100 participants.

Specifically, FSF is a smart factory concept advocated by FUJI to automate and digitize the board manufacturing process. Also, partner companies made presentations to realize the FSF.
