Through an array of learning opportunities (e.g., face-to-face tutoring in Naples, FL and online globally, innovative summer learning programs; blogging; book writing; in-school field trips; public programming; and our web sites) we strive to ensure that students of all ages learn about weather, math, other STEM subjects, communication, study skills and more.

In a typical year, we may also mentor and/or intern up to a dozen students. If there is a way to foster real learning, we are on it!

The last full week of April has been designated as National Sky Awareness Week (SAW), a time to look up and observe, enjoy, understand, and appreciate the atmosphere that sustains us.

While our focus is on watching clouds and various sky optical phenomena, the week provides a framework for students of all ages to learn more about the thin shell of air that surround Planet Earth.

Of course, anytime is a good time to observe and photograph the sky. So, if you'd like to share your sky photographs, please do so at our SAW Facebook page. Be sure to note the location and date-time of the photograph and include your copyright information, as appropriate.

How The Weatherworks and its cadre of interns are, well, "into" photography. Whether it involves clouds or lightning, or just the beauty of nature and human construction, we pride ourselves in being able to capture the world around us. And, we'd like to share our incredible photography with you.

For some 15 years, weather camps have enabled students (primarily middle and high school levels) a chance to explore weather like never before.

Taught by weather scientists and others with an understanding of meteorology, these camps afford students incredible insights into atmospheric and related processes and how these processes affect our lives daily.

Now, there are more than a dozen camps nationwide - and more are coming.

These camps, mostly at low-cost, are designed for young weather enthusiasts, students just interested in science, Scouts, and future meteorologists.

Want to learn about weather, math, space science, SAT/ACT test preparation, and more? Then, H. Michael Mogil's Lifelong Learning Blog is for you.

The weather articles go far beyond just discussing a particular weather event; they are chock-full of content that explains "how the weather works" and how to effect meaningful learning.

Every now and then, Mogil inserts a "weathertorial" about climate change, TV weathercasting, or some other potentially controversial topic.

How The Weatherworks specializes in providing expert (i.e., CCM-supported) forensic weather services to attorneys and insurance companies.
