SIGACCESS regularly cites outstanding individuals for their contributions to the field of accessible computing. Currently SIGACCESS presents three awards.

The SIGACCESS ASSETS Paper Impact Award is Presented in odd-numbered years to the authors of an ASSETS conference paper presented 10 or more years prior to the award year which has had a significant impact on computing and information technology that addresses the needs of persons with disabilities. The award includes a $500 prize and a plaque.

The SIGACCESS Best Paper Award is presented to the individual(s) judged by an awards committee to have written the best paper appearing in the ASSETS conference proceedings.

The SIGACCESS Best Student Paper Award is presented to the individual(s) judged by an awards committee to have written the best paper appearing in the ASSETS conference proceedings. To be considered for the Best Student Paper Award, the student must be the first author.

The SIGACCESS Award for Outstanding Contributions to Computing and Accessibility recognises individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the development of computing technologies which improve the accessibility of media and services to people with disabilities. The award includes a $1000 honorarium, an award certificate of recognition, and an invitation for the recipient to present a keynote talk at the ASSETS Conference. The award is presented every other year.

The SIGACCESS Scholarship in Computers and Accessibility Award aims to provide support for practitioners, researchers, members of advocacy groups, and individuals with disabilities who are interested in the field of computers and accessibility, to actively participate in the ASSETS conference and gain experience and knowledge from interacting with experts in the field. The scholarship award is in the amount of $2,000. SIGACCESS will award up to five scholarships per year, pending availability of funds.
