Another week where the midweek chart looked promising but only half the newcomers have survived to make the eventual top 40.  Usually in November the long running streaming perennials are briefly dumped out of the top 20 due to the number of new releases but this year they are holding their own. It could be that this is a weaker than average Autumn roster but new acts need chart placings to get established so there’s potential concern for the industry if this trend continues.

Strange re-entry for the Pet Shop Boys, but I'm not complaining, love Pet Shop Boys. Hopefully they tour UK next year so I can see them maybe.

22 November 2024: Pet Shop Boys today release the expanded edition of their acclaimed new album, “Nonetheless”, now available in a triple black vinyl set, a double CD set and digitally at the link below.

The special expanded edition includes the full “Nonetheless” album plus four new bonus songs and the original demo versions of all the tracks on the album. The bonus tracks include Pet Shop Boys’ cover of “All the young dudes” by Bowie and another cover, the 1967 soul song “The dark end of the street”. There are also two tracks originally recorded during the “Nonetheless” sessions: a version of the classical composition “Miserere” by Gregorio Allegri and a Pet Shop Boys original titled “Adrenaline”.
