速水賞Hayami Award
速水賞について
第１回JADE大会にて、「速水賞」の設立が宣言されました。過去の受賞者、対象者や選定の基準は以下となります。

１．開発経済学会は「開発経済学会速水佑次郎賞」（以下「本賞」と略称する）を設立する。
２．本賞は、日本を代表する開発経済学者・農業経済学者であられた故速水佑次郎先生の功績を称えるとともに、日本を拠点とする若手開発経済学者を育成することを目的とする。
３．本賞の授賞対象者は、以下のすべての条件を満たす者とする。
（１）授賞時点で40歳以下の開発経済学会の正会員または学生会員である者。
（２）授賞決定時において、日本における大学または研究機関等に所属しているか、所属した経験があって開発経済学を研究する者。
（３）授賞時の開発経済学会大会において、論文を発表した者。
４．本賞の選考は以下のような過程で行う。
（１）各年度の開発経済学会大会（以下「大会」と略称する）におけるプログラム委員を本賞の選考委員とする。また、プログラム委員長を選考委員長とする。
（２）大会の発表論文を公募する際に、本賞の選考を兼ねることを明記する。
（３）選考委員は、大会における発表論文を選考する過程で、授賞候補者を選考する。
（４）選考委員会の決定した受賞候補者を理事会において承認する。
（５）大会中の総会において、授賞式を行う。
５．本賞の選考は、該当する大会発表論文の質のみを基準とし、アイデアの独創性、分析手法の先端性、分析結果の政策的含意の重要性などを判断して、将来的にはトップレベルの英文査読付き国際学術誌に掲載される可能性が高い論文の主たる著者である者を受賞者とする。この基準に該当する者がいない場合には、その年度の受賞者をなしとする。
６．本賞の授賞者に正賞として賞状を、副賞として10万円を贈呈する。
Hayami Award

1. JADE has established the JADE Award in Development Economics in Memory of Yujiro Hayami (hereafter "the Award").
2. The objectives of the Award are to remember the achievements of late Prof. Yujiro Hayami, one of the best Japanese development and agricultural economists and to foster young development economists based in Japan.
3. The winner of the Award should satisfy the following conditions.
(1) A regular or student member of 40 years old or younger at the time of winning the award.
(2) Being affiliated or having been affiliated with a university, research institution, or related organization in Japan and engaging in research in development economics.
(3) Presenter at the JADE annual meetings at the time of winning the award.
4. The selection process of the Award should be as follows.
(1) Members of the program committee of the JADE annual meeting (the Meeting) in each year become the members of the selection committee of the Award.
(2) The call-for-paper for the Meetings explains that the selection of papers presented at the Meeting will also be the selection of the winner of the Award.
(3) The members of the selection committee select the candidate in the process of selection of papers for the Meeting.
(4) The board approves the candidate selected by the selection committee.
(5) The Award is awarded to the winner in a ceremony at the Meeting.
5. The selection of the Award is solely based on the quality of the paper presented at the Meeting. The selection committee evaluates the originality of research ideas, the innovativeness of analytical methods, and the importance of policy implication from the analysis. It thus selects the major author of a paper that is most likely to be published in a top-level international refereed journal. When these criteria are not satisfied by any of the candidates in a year, the Award in that year is not awarded.
6. The winner of the Award is provided an honorable certificate and 100,000 yen.
