Nancy Nave was born in El Paso, TX and she is the youngest of three children. She was born to a Mexican-American mother and a father from Canton, China. She attended the University of Texas at El Paso on a volleyball scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After college, she worked as an engineer and project manager for Procter & Gamble and AT&T.
Nancy made her big-screen debut in the feature film Hours (2013), which premiered at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival. The movie was directed by Oscar-nominated Eric Heisserer and starred Paul Walker, of The Fast and the Furious fame. She continued her success in other films such as The Hollars (2016), directed by John Krasinski, and Bayou Caviar (2018), starring Richard Dreyfuss.
Nancy has also worked on Grey's Anatomy (2005), Lethal Weapon (2016), and Life in Pieces (2015), to name a few of her TV appearances. She's done over 100 commercials, including national spots for Walgreens, Jimmy Dean and Honda.
She is the co-founder of Chew Angry Productions, alongside her husband, Jason. Together they write, direct, produce and cast all projects, giving actors the opportunity to get involved and contribute their talents to independent film.
Nancy started out in the corporate world, but decided to leave and start an at-home business to care for her three young sons. At the urging of her husband, she ventured into modeling, and soon caught the acting bug after being selected as a finalist for Season 2 of the modeling reality show, She's Got the Look (2008), in 2007.
Through unexpected, life-altering events, Nancy became an advocate for actors in the film and television industry and eventually became a professional Career Coach for Actors. She's the owner and founder of The Crafty Actor, which guides actors in their careers through the industry.
Nancy lives just outside Los Angeles and in her free time loves to run on the beach, watch old movies, and travel.
