- Actress
Lauren Roman grew up in North Carolina and Virginia, daughter of a proud Marine Corps family. While she was an honor student at Langley High School, she landed her first professional acting job at age 15 with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Ms. Roman became a member of their Traveling Young Players, earning a lead role in the touring musical "Footsteps in the Sky." During two years at the University of Virginia, she was part of the prestigious Echols Scholars program and studied philosophy.
Ms. Roman relocated to New York City in 1995, where she originated the role of troubled young runaway "Laura Kirk English" on the ABC daytime television program All My Children (1970) and starred in the show from 1995-1998. After relocating from New York to Los Angeles, she went on to Guest Star and Supporting roles in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (WB), "The Division" (Lifetime), "Roswell" (WB), "The David Cassidy Story" (NBC), "Chicken Soup for the Soul" (PAX), and "Outreach" (WB Pilot).
After 7 years in LA, Ms. Roman returned to her southern roots by relocating to Nashville, TN. Fittingly, she landed a recurring role in ABC's prime-time hit, "Nashville." Her supporting film roles included the Nicole Kidman thriller "Stoker" and the inspiring family drama "Grace Unplugged." Now based in Atlanta, she's excited to join Georgia's thriving film and TV industry.
In addition to her acting career, Lauren Roman is a sought-after Christian keynote speaker. Her entertaining multi-generational events are popular with women's ministries nationwide. Ms. Roman is also an accomplished singer whose featured songs bring unique depth to her presentations. Her recorded music projects include the inspirational EP "Songs of Hope and Healing" and her recent single, "God of Amazing."
"Author" is Ms. Roman's latest role, with her debut children's book "Think Good, Be Good!" now available online. In summer 2024, the international ministry Celebrate Kids, Inc., is showcasing the book at Christian educational conferences throughout the United States.
