IMO statistics indicate that CO2 emission from the shipping industry account for 2.7% of global GHG emissions. If left unchecked, this ratio may increase to 15% by 2050. In response, Evergreen Marine Corp. has developed strategies to support sustainable operations and set targets for CO2 reduction. A 50% reduction by 2030 is planned, compared to 2008 as the baseline. Evergreen aims to be Net Zero by 2050. These objectives are at the heart of Evergreen's global climate action.
