Protecting and strengthening habitats

The Action Plan on Nature-based Solutions for Climate and Biodiversity ensures that ecosystems such as forests, seas and oceans are strengthened, restored and preserved. In this way, they will continue to mitigate climate change naturally and provide habitats for plants and animals. By 2026, a total of four billion euros will be invested in these and other areas.
