What does the Color of the Rainbow Loom Bands Say About Their Wearer?

Do the colors of loom bands that you use in your bracelets and wear say something about you? People choose colors to wear for many reasons. Girls may select loom band colors because they are their favorite colors or maybe because the color matches their clothes, while boys might select a color because it is in the logo of their favorite sports team or superhero. U.S. researchers have studied color psychology and based on their findings, we have created a list of the most common color loom bands and their suggested meanings.

White - Pureness, Goodness, Innocence and Kindness
Gray - Intelligence, Security and Reliability
Black - Strength, Authority, Elegance, Mystery and Power
Brown - Dependability, Stability, Reliability, Wholesomeness and Friendliness

Orange - Energy, Compassion, Health, Happiness and Warmth

Light Green - Playfulness, Earthiness, Nature and Youthfulness

Light Blue - Clarity, Calmness and Openness

Dark Blue - Inspiration, Sincerity and Spirituality
Purple - Magic, Royalty, Creativity and Wisdom

I am sure that it takes more than one color to describe you, in fact, it probably is quite a few colors that accurately describes everyone. In fact, I can accurately state that my personality switches with my mood, my physical location (meaning I am more happy on vacation than at stuck in traffic) or the people that I am around. To most accurately display my personality, it may take an entire rainbow of loom band colors.

My 9 year old son has used the color meanings and made loom band bracelets using many combinations of colors. These make really neat gifts as the present isn't just the bracelet but also the thought and meaning behind the color choices. For example, My son has a boy that is a best friend to him and so he made a bracelet using the colors Black and Red because he wanted to express that they were best friends and they have a powerful friendship.

So perhaps your favorite colors are blue and green, or maybe you want to express that you are reliable and creative, either way have fun with these color meanings and show them off with loom bands.
