鉄人28号の次にお気に入りのメンコがこの「８マン」です。鉄人２８号の力に対する存在感に対して、８マンはスピードを前面に出したスマートさが図柄に現れ、そのかっこ良さが魅力でした。この「８マン」のめんこは、当時の貴重なアートとして2010年1月17日に個人遺産に登録されました。

Following "Tetsujin No. 28", my second favorite menko is " 8 man". In cotrast with the presence of mighty "Tetsujin No. 28", " 8 man" appeals of the sportiness through drawing speedy action scene on the menko sheet. The menko of "8 man" was registered as personal heritage on January 17, 2010.

めんこは、（大阪ではべったんと呼んでいましたが）、当時のアニメのブロマイド的存在で、遊ぶだけでなく、集めて眺めるだけで楽しいものでした。特に巨大ロボットアニメの鉄人28号は、数センチの紙に圧倒的な存在感を示す構図で他を抜きん出ていました。この横山光輝「鉄人28号」のめんこは、当時の貴重なアートとして2010年1月11日に個人遺産に登録されました。

Menko, called Bettan in Osaka, was one of the most enjoyable playing cards by not only playing but also collecting and looking at like picture card. Especially the Menko cards of the popular gigantic robot animation, "Tetsujin No. 28" showed overwhelming presence on the heavy paper with several centimeters on side. The menko of "Tetsujin No. 28" was registered as personal heritage on January 11, 2010.
