Great way to add more storage and easy to use.
This is the second external Seagate HDD I've purchased. The first was a 3TB Backup Plus about a year ago. Both are USB 3.0 and transfer quickly. The 5TB Expansion Drive seems to be a little faster and quieter although it is a larger memory size. I have both connected to my router for easy local access from any device on my network as well as being able to get to my files from anywhere with internet access. Don't trust no clouds...
As much as others talk about sending their stuff to the 'cloud' I prefer to have mine close at hand. I may send some items to the cloud, someday, but for now I trust Seagate - this is the 2nd Seagate, 5TB external drive I've purchased where I mainly use for TV shows, movies and training videos as well. My work involves large format illustrations, animations and so on that having a large drive like these takes the worry out of hitting the 'save' only to find out that you lack storage capacity. Both drives look exactly the same, which gives an overall professional look rather than having multiple, multi-shaped, various capacity drives sitting on your desk. Being as OCD as I am, I will likely buy more so that I can use each for separate types of storage; personal, work, videos, training, ebooks, and more. My first hard drive was 20MB partitioned into two 10Mb disks, so having multi-terabyte drives is still amazing. That said, the drive has been working well attached to a W7x64 as a backup device. It's brother sits in a vault and they are regularly switched out. It updates and searches well. It is too early to comment on longevity as a backup/archive repository, but I have had excellent experiences with Western Digital & Seagate in the past and I have hope that this Seagate will continue in that tradition even though Seagate has reduced their warranty period from 7 years.認証購入者：はい状態： 新品

A lot of bad reviews on this product. Yes its cheap but you get what you buy. I have bought two of these and One I bought I use all the time and it is starting to make noise but hasn't failed. The second one I just use every now and then and haven't had an issue.認証購入者：はい状態： 新品

Good value for ample storage space....
Pros: Performs as it should, quite, fast, and stays cool. My second Seagate 5TB drive, will buy another when need. Fast delivery, good transaction. Cons: No activity light on the front of the drive. I sometimes like to monitor drive activity.認証購入者：はい状態： 中古品
